Signify unveils record-breaking illuminated Modak for Ganpati festival in Mumbai
Signify has created a 16-foot illuminated modak installation, powered by Philips lights, to celebrate Ganpati Festival in Mumbai, earning recognition from the Asia and India Book of Records.
Celebrating the spirit of Maharashtra’s iconic Ganpati festival, Signify, the renowned lighting brand, introduced an illuminated modak installation, which has been recognized by both the Asia and India Book of Records. Standing 16 feet tall with a glowing 4-foot base, this stunning installation, powered by Philips lights, will be on display at the intersection of Chintamani Ganpati Mandal and Lal Bagh Cha Raja in Mumbai from September 7, 2024, for 11 days.
This remarkable creation aligns with Signify’s #BrighterLifeBetterWorld vision, highlighting the brand’s dedication to merging innovation with Indian cultural traditions. Over 10 days, more than 70 individuals collaborated to bring this extraordinary project to life, showcasing the brand’s capability to blend advanced technology with cultural heritage.
The illuminated modak, symbolizing prosperity and deeply connected to the Ganesh Chaturthi festival, reflects Signify’s ongoing mission to enrich Indian communities through cutting-edge lighting solutions that honor and enhance traditional celebrations.
