Uber leads the way in vocalising World Cup spirit
The brand’s ‘Way-O Way-O’ slogan is part of its World Cup campaign meant to resonate with cricket lovers across the country
Uber, the official sponsor of the ICC Men’s World Cup 2019, aims at engaging every cricket fan out there with their new “Way-O Way-O” campaign slogan. The brand’s drive to promote the spirit of cricket is visible across the country on multiple media formats.
Virat Kohli, the Brand Ambassador to Uber in India, is the highlight of Uber’s ‘This World Cup, Every Fan Wins’ campaign. Launching the first ever World Cup slogan, the campaign has seen large scale presence on transit media, bus shelters and billboards and unipoles as well. Outdoor media has thus become the obvious choice for the campaign, given the audience connect that the medium facilitates across segments.
The campaign is expected to reach hundreds of millions of people worldwide, according to Uber’s Chief International Business Officer, Brooks Entwistle. In India, the campaign is prominently seen in Mumbai and Delhi.
Uber was also the official sponsor for ICC Women’s T20 World Cup where they had launched the #RoadSheMade and #JerseyKnowsNoGender campaigns.
