Júpiter turns empty billboards into ads for aluminium foil
The campaign is executed in Montevideo, Uruguay
In a category that typically relies on heavy production and high media spends, aluminium foil brand Júpiter has taken a sharply minimal approach to out-of-home, by doing almost nothing at all.
Created by From in partnership with Publicartel, the campaign ‘Aluminium Billboards’ rethinks one of the most overlooked aspects of outdoor advertising: empty inventory.
Despite OOH being one of the highest ROI media channels, hundreds of billboards across Uruguay remain unused for weeks each year, sitting blank between advertiser contracts. These bare structures, often metallic and reflective, closely resemble aluminium foil. Instead of filling them with creatives, Júpiter simply recognised what was already there.
With nothing more than a small branded sticker, these empty billboards were turned into contextual ads. No shoots, no installations, no additional media or production, just a simple idea executed with precision.
