Flipkart Fashion’s cricket-led billboard banter
The copy read, “Dear Pakistan, Raho Ek Kadam Aage!”, a sharp play on words that worked on two levels.
Ahead of the high-voltage India–Pakistan World Cup clash on the 15th, Flipkart Fashion rolled out a topical OOH creative that tapped directly into cricket culture and match-time banter. Installed across key outdoor locations, the billboard featured a close-up visual of a bowler’s front foot landing near the crease on a cricket pitch, a moment every fan instantly associates with the tension of a potential no-ball.
The copy read, “Dear Pakistan, Raho Ek Kadam Aage!”, a sharp play on words that worked on two levels. In cricketing terms, stepping one stride too far results in a no-ball, an error that can change the course of the game. In brand terms, the line tied back to Flipkart Fashion’s positioning of staying “a step ahead” with the latest footwear drops.
By blending sports rivalry with product relevance, the creative converted a live match context into an outdoor conversation starter. The green pitch backdrop, paired with the poised bowling stride, created an immediately recognisable cricket visual language, while the footwear focus remained central to the messaging.
