Continental Malgudi celebrates the soul of Karnataka with OOH tribute this Rajyotsava
The campaign is executed by Platinum Outdoor
This Karnataka Rajyotsava, Continental Malgudi took its celebration beyond cafés and kitchens—right onto Bengaluru’s streets. With a beautifully executed Out-of-Home (OOH) campaign by Platinum Outdoor, the brand paid homage to the timeless essence of Karnataka, blending culture, pride, and emotion into a vibrant public tribute.
At the heart of the campaign lies a simple yet powerful belief: Continental Malgudi is not just a name—it’s an emotion. It embodies the warmth, simplicity, and nostalgia of South India, while proudly carrying the spirit of Karnataka in every cup. This year, instead of limiting their celebration to a symbolic greeting, the brand chose to express it through an OOH experience that brought together art, culture, and tradition.

The creative executions, placed across key high-traffic locations in Bengaluru, stood out for their visual storytelling and cultural authenticity. The installations featured innovative bus shelter designs that blended modern branding with traditional Kannada motifs. The use of *yellow and red—the colors of the Karnataka flag—*alongside intricate illustrations of local art forms gave the campaign an unmistakable festive tone.
One of the standout sites featured the Kannada Rajyotsava greeting in bold red lettering, alongside visuals of the brand’s signature filter coffee blends. The installation included creative 3D elements, such as a sculpted coffee filter and the iconic Kannada flag symbol perched atop the structure—turning a simple bus shelter into a cultural landmark.

The message that anchored the campaign was both poetic and personal:
“ಎಲ್ಲಾದರೂ ಇರು, ಎಂತಾದರೂ ಇರು, ಎಂದೆಂದಿಗೂ ನೀ ಕನ್ನಡವಾಗಿರು”
(No matter where you are, or how you are — forever be a Kannadiga.)
This sentiment captured the campaign’s spirit—a heartfelt reminder of identity, belonging, and cultural pride. Every detail, from the design to the typography, reflected the brand’s effort to connect deeply with its Kannada audience, making it not just an ad but a tribute.
The campaign also featured a symbolic gesture from the brand — “metering a cup” of its authentic South Indian filter coffee to the land that inspires it. This gesture beautifully tied together the brand’s identity with its cultural roots, honouring Karnataka’s rich heritage of taste and togetherness.
