Toronto’s 22nd annual Contact Photography Festival has showcased curated works by acclaimed and emerging artists featured across the city, including site-specific public art installations using digitally printed wide-format graphics. Initiatives like this could be taken into the OOH space as well.

With the support of Beyond Digital Imaging (BDI), 3M Canada, Four By Eight Signs, Pattison Outdoor Advertising and 3M Canada, festival—which runs for the entire month of May—presents photos in various sign and graphic formats, including outdoor prints at the Aga Khan Park, several billboards in the city’s west end, column wraps along the Bentway (a public trail beneath the Gardiner Expressway), window graphics at the Allan Gardens (pictured, left) and sidewalk graphics and boulder wraps at Ryerson University, according to a Sign Media report.
