OAC 2014: Leading brand marketers to talk about luxury brand adverting

As the Indian OOH industry steps on the growth pedal, several quarters are aiming to draw luxury brands into the industry's fold. Over the years, many luxury brands in the auto, jewellery, travel and other segments, have tested the OOH waters. The key question is, will a greater number of luxury brands plan budgets for OOH advertising.

To discuss the OOH industry's potential to draw luxury brand advertising, OAC 2014, beginning on July 4 in Goa, will feature a power-packed panel discussion on the theme of "How luxury brands can leverage the OOH medium for a domineering brand presence". Ruchita Sharma, Head - Marketing Operations & Communications, Swarovski India, Arun Marc D'Silva, Managing Director, Retail Interface Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, and Arif Saleem Padiath, Senior Business Manager, Zoya Titan Company Ltd will address the session which will be anchored by Anant Rangaswami, Editor, Storyboard, CNBC, TV18.

Sharma heads the marketing, operations and communications divisions at Swarovski India since November 2010. In her role, she manages all marketing, visual merchandising, product assortment, new collection launch, strategic marketing, and digital and media communications. Her expertise lies in product strategies, brand positioning and budget management in line with global brand vision and guidelines. Her initiatives have led the brand to develop India specific product lines and forthcoming products suited to the market.



D'Silva has worked with leading organisations like Eicher Goodearth Ltd, Oberoi Hotels, Guest Keen and Nettlefolds, HCL Group, Royal Enfield Motors, and BPL. After a successful career in the Indian corporate sector he co-promoted Retail Interface Pvt Ltd, with the vision of providing world class retail related services to brands wanting to enter the Indian market. Over the past eight years, Retail Interface has worked with leading domestic and International brands, providing services in the areas of market analysis, product positioning, pricing strategy, network expansion, marketing strategy, advertising, store management, service delivery audits , imports and distribution.

Rangaswami is the editor of Storyboard, the advertising, media and marketing show on CNBC TV18. In addition, he is also senior editor at Firstpost.com. He was earlier the editor of Campaign India magazine, of which he was the founding editor. Rangaswami has over 23 years' experience in media and advertising.

Padiath on his part is responsible for the viability of Zoya, the luxury jewelry brand from Titan Industries Ltd. He is look at the company's topline, bottomline "and everything in between”.
