Ocean Labs brings The Odyssey to life with a special build in Birmingham
Positioned above a major arterial route, the installation commands attention from thousands of motorists and commuters, turning a routine journey into a cinematic moment.
Ocean Labs has unveiled its first-ever special build on The Birmingham Archway, transforming one of the city’s most prominent roadside canvases to promote Christopher Nolan’s upcoming film, The Odyssey.
The striking execution sees a series of towering warrior figures seemingly emerging from the bridge structure itself, creating a dramatic visual spectacle that mirrors the scale and ambition of the epic film. Positioned above a major arterial route, the installation commands attention from thousands of motorists and commuters, turning a routine journey into a cinematic moment.
By leveraging the unique architecture of The Birmingham Archway, the campaign moves beyond traditional billboard communication to create a more immersive storytelling experience. The creative effectively uses the elongated format of the site, allowing the characters to appear as though they are marching across the structure, reinforcing themes of mythology, adventure and grandeur associated with the film.
The execution also marks a significant milestone for Ocean Labs, showcasing the potential of special builds in transforming iconic media assets into experiential storytelling platforms. Rather than simply displaying promotional artwork, the campaign reimagines the site itself as an extension of the movie’s narrative universe.
