Notice issued for removal of PM images in BJP’s WB campaign

The Election Commission of India has issued strict notice for the removal of hoardings carrying PM Narendra Modi’s images in the state within 72 hours


With the implementation of the Code of Conduct in West Bengal, the Election Commission of India has issued strict notice for the removal of hoardings carrying PM Narendra Modi’s images in the state. These sites are located at Petrol Pumps promoting central government’s achievements. The EC has ordered such sites to be removed within 72 hours.

The EC has also issued instructions to the concerned officers everywhere in the state to undertake required measures according to the guidelines issued.

The Election Commission declared the dates of the West Bengal elections on February 26 following which the Model Code of Conduct came into effect.

The campaigning for the party promotion by the BJP is also underway in the state.
