Guy Gecht, CEO of EFI, believes the Indian OOH media is the best platform for brands to establish a deep connect with the large young population in the country

The average age in India will be an estimated 28 years by year 2020. Referring to this demographic projection, Guy Gecht, CEO of EFI, a world leading print solutions company, told Outdoor Asia during his recent visit to the company's centre in Bengaluru that OOH will increasingly become the preferred media for brand advertising given that the young population on the move spends far lesser time reading print publications or watching TV including commercials.

Gecht said the impending OOH expansion will also lend spurs to EFI growth in India. He added that EFI is a highly environment-conscious company and its equipment and processes are all environment-friendly. Today, as the environment norms become stringent in India, demand for environment-friendly digital print solutions will rise.

Gecht made a special mention of Bengaluru-based printing firm Printech that has invested in high-end printers, keeping the environment aspects paramount instead of just delivering low cost solutions to the domestic market.

Gecht said that in the coming times EFI India would also plan initiatives to raise the domestic print industry's awareness of high quality, environment-friendly digital printing solutions.
