Geopath/OAAA National Convention & Expo makes grand beginning in New Orleans

The three-day Geopath/OAAA National Convention & Expo made a grand beginning at the Hilton Riverside in New Orleans with the inauguration of the Expo that featured a whole gamut of digital technologies that foretell the future of global OOH advertising. The Expo features over 25 exhibitors most of whom have participated to showcase their prowess in digital technologies and displays.

The accent on digital OOH stems from the concerted efforts on the part of local administration and the OOH industry in the US to usher in digital outdoor advertising, with one of the states even mandating that to put up one digital display the media owner would be required to remove three static displays. That in a sense works well for the digital OOH industry as well considering that the demand for digital OOH will be largely dictated by a general tightening of traditional media supplies.

The opening day also featured an innovative fashion show wherein models walked the ramp, adorned in flex material designed outfits. Also, the delegates were provided kit bags made of flex, all aimed at promoting the message of material recycling.
