Delhi metro advertising restarts with ‘Khaali Peeli’ movie promotion
Spotted at Rajiv Chowk station which is handled by eg. communications, the campaign stands first to appear after DMRC resumed metro services
After the resumption of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), promotion of ‘Khaali Peeli’ movie starring Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday is spotted as the foremost campaign to be executed at the metro station. Premiered at Zee Plex, the channel has taken a cluster of sites at Rajiv Chowk, the biggest intersecting station handled by eg. communications.
The campaign is visible on multiple sites of different sizes to develop curiosity amongst the metro travellers. It is believed that movie promotion has become the first category to include metro branding in its media plan.
After the metro in Delhi resumed full-fledged operations from September 12 onwards with new norms of social distancing in place owing to the Covid19 pandemic, the metro sees limited occupancy. However, it has been observed that certain sections of the DMRC network have witnessed 100% occupancy during morning and evening peak hours.
