Dehradun civic body latest to launch drive against unauthorised media
The authority has removed some 6,000 hoardings, posters and banners from areas such as the Clock Tower, Garhi Cantt, Rajpur Road, and Haridwar Bypass, while due attention is paid to protect authorised media
Nagar Nigam Dehradun is taking strong steps to uproot unauthorised outdoor media in the city. In a week’s time, the authority has removed some 6,000 hoardings, posters and banners from areas such as the Clock Tower, Garhi Cantt, Rajpur Road, Haridwar Bypass and other areas. The Nigam aims to rid the city of unauthorised media.
A local media owner confirmed to Media4Growth that the authority’s is pushing ahead with the drive. Most of the media removed constitute posters, and due care is being taken to protect authorised media.
