Shashi Sinha Executive Director, Omark Media Solutions calls for structure, training and fresh thinking in OOH
Shashi Sinha believes that to move forward, the industry must focus on building a trained workforce, developing clear processes, and treating OOH as a distinct and serious medium.
Shashi Sinha, Executive Director of Omark Media Solutions, shares his honest views on what the OOH industry truly needs to grow. He points out that the industry still lacks a strong knowledge base, a common language, and structured training, which makes it hard for new talent to see a future in this space. He believes that to move forward, the industry must focus on building a trained workforce, developing clear processes, and treating OOH as a distinct and serious medium.
He also talks about how OOH is different from other media, it’s not something people actively consume, it simply happens around them. That’s why, according to him, creative content in OOH needs to be designed differently, keeping human attention patterns in mind. Shashi sees big opportunities in smaller towns and rural areas, where DOOH can grow faster with the help of remote tech and strong local networks. He believes that if the right steps are taken, OOH can leap forward in a big way.
