Before ushering in the new ad norms, the civic body has deployed a team to remove all existing media in order to improve the aesthetic look of the city landscape; media owners with authorised media will be duly compensated

Lonavala Municipal Council has drafted a new outdoor hoarding policy for the city which will be implemented shortly. However, before ushering in the new advertising norms, the municipal corporation is removing the existing media – both legal and unauthorised – in the city, starting from Kumar Chowk to Khandala on the highway. The reason stated behind this action is the effort to address the cluttered look of the city landscape.

Mindful of the fact that this action will negatively impact the business of media owners, the corporation has agreed to refund the tender cost and tax money paid by media owners. The corporation has already started the drive by deploying 70-80 officers and employees on duty to remove the media.
