“Our strength lies in innovation and scale”
Shubham Kumar, Managing Director, Dinesh Plastic Works emphasizes on their innovation, large-scale production capacity, and adaptability to client needs.
Established in 2002, Dinesh Plastic Works has carved a niche in the Indian signage industry. With 22 years of experience, the company stands out as a pioneer, particularly in indoor and outdoor signage solutions for corporate clients, especially in the cigarette and alcohol sectors. According to Shubham Kumar, Managing Director of Dinesh Plastic Works, the company’s strength lies in its innovation, capacity, and ability to cater to corporate demands on a wholesale scale.
Pioneering signage solutions
“When you talk about indoor signage, especially for corporate branding in the alcohol and cigarette sectors, most innovations in India were introduced by us,” says Shubham. This leadership in the market stems from the company’s unmatched production capabilities, supported by multiple state-of-the-art facilities located in Naraina Industrial Area, Delhi.
Dinesh Plastic Works operates out of four factories, including an 800-square-foot, five-story primary factory and three additional facilities spread across 2,400 gaj (approximately 21,600 square feet). With a robust team of 150 employees, the company is equipped to handle large-scale production, meeting the needs of high-volume corporate orders.
Diverse offerings with a customisable edge
The company specializes in a variety of signage solutions, including lockout signages, flip-on signages, and ultra-thin hanging signages. However, as Shubham emphasizes, flexibility is key: “There is no such limitation on the variety we offer. If a client has specific requirements or specifications, we can manufacture exactly what they need.” This adaptability has been a cornerstone of their business, enabling them to cater to unique client demands effectively.
Embracing sustainability
In an era where eco-friendliness is paramount, Dinesh Plastic Works is aligning itself with sustainable practices. “Everything used in our factories—except for aluminum—is eco-friendly and government-approved,” Shubham shares. This includes their use of eco-friendly inks, fabrics, PS sheets, and acrylic materials.
Adapting to digital trends
The company is not just rooted in traditional signage; it is also adapting to emerging technologies. “We are working on digital signage solutions that leverage AI and sensor-based technologies,” reveals Shubham. These innovations aim to create dynamic displays that change based on customer behavior or requirements, providing cutting-edge solutions to their corporate clients.
While these digital advancements are in the developmental stage, Shubham is confident about their future impact. “We are working on a projector-based technology that will revolutionize how digital signage interacts with customers,” he adds.
Overcoming industry challenges
Despite their success, Dinesh Plastic Works faces challenges, primarily concerning payments and fluctuating raw material prices. “Payment issues and fluctuating rates, especially for imported materials like acrylic from Malaysia and Thailand, are hurdles we manage regularly,” says Shubham. However, their ability to deliver consistent quality and volume has kept them ahead in the competitive market.
Looking ahead
After over two decades of innovation and excellence, Dinesh Plastic Works remains a trailblazer in the signage industry. With plans to launch cutting-edge digital signage technologies and a steadfast commitment to sustainability, the company is poised to continue its leadership in the market.
As Shubham summarizes, “Our capability to deliver production at a scale and quality that exceeds client expectations is what sets us apart. We introduced many of the standards you see in the market today, and we are committed to staying at the forefront of innovation.”
