PlayAds targets Sabrimala pilgrims with digital utility format
Totally 15 digital ticket vending kiosks are getting installed at the Kerala State bus stations in Nilakkal and Pampa
Kerala-based digital OOH media owner PlayAds has installed digital ticket vending kiosks with digital advertising media in particular locations targeting the pilgrims who are on the way to Sabarimala. The vending kiosks have been contracted to the firm by Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC)
These utility assets are unmanned interactive terminals with a 21” touch screen where passengers can buy KSRTC bus tickets using their debit/ credit card, QR code of a pre-booked ticket or through payment valets like Paytm. The advertising space is a 43” industrial grade LCD TV, with multiple screens installed side-by-side in front of the long queue of devotees, and all of the media simultaneously playing the same content. The screens are centrally managed using a Virtual Private Network – all of them controlled. The customers are targeted with a slot of 15, 20 or 30 seconds.
The firm is installing 15 kiosks in all — 10 at Nilakkal and 5 at Pampa. The screens are likely to connect with some 80,000 devotees every day, who are traveling by KSRTC buses.
“This project is one more important milestones towards fulfilment of PlayAds vision to use technology-based advertising methods. The company is actively exploring various other avenues where it can expand its operations,” Icy Varghese, MD, PlayAds said.
