Vodafone paints the town red during Uttarayan

Two Vodafone branded vans traversed the length and breadth of Ahmedabad and Surat with giant ‘manjha charkhas’ mounted on them. Vodafone customers were sent periodic SMS updates on the location of the van, where they could ‘Recharge their Manjha’ firkis while demonstrating their kite flying skills

Vodafone celebrated Uttarayan or the Spring Equinox, one of the much celebrated festivals in Gujarat, by spreading the message of safety. Two Vodafone branded vans traversed the length and breadth of Ahmedabad and Surat with giant ‘manjha charkhas’ mounted on them. Vodafone customers were sent periodic SMS updates on the location of the van, where they could ‘Recharge their Manjha’ firkis while demonstrating their kite flying skills. Also, customers in & cities who took Vodafone connections during January 8-11 were Vodafone branded kites.

Urging residents to be safe and enjoy the festival responsibly, Vodafone also partnered with Radio Mirchi’s ‘Safety Week’ initiative, observed during January 8-13. Special Vodafone branded neck collars were handed out to pedestrians and two-wheeler riders at key traffic signals in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Surat & Rajkot.
