SDMC plans for more hydroponics on roads
The South Delhi body is planning vertical gardens on roadside and under flyovers to double up as advertising media
South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) is planning for greater number of hydroponics units – vertical gardens — on the roadside and under flyovers that will also serve as advertising media. Prem Shankar Jha, Deputy Commissioner, SDMC, shared that they have ordered 10 more pollutant absorbing plants. The official sees this as being part of the CSR initiatives of different brands.
Such initiatives will also enhance the public image of outdoor advertising.
