Roop Sign & Graphics installs Efi VUTEk LX3 Pro 10 color LED UV inkjet printer

Arrow Digital has installed the Efi-Vutek LX3 Pro Production Level LED Printer at Roop Sign & Graphics, its long-time customer in North India. Roop Sign & Graphics has a list of prestigious customers and had qualified as the sole agency to handle complete in-stadia signage at several venues of the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi. The new Efi VUTEk installation will support Roop Sign & Graphics to produce a greater volume of graphic displays and signage with tight turnaround time with the best image quality and applications.

We wanted an environment friendly, high production level with no compromise on quality printer. When we saw the demonstration of LX3, the colours astonished us. We tried all modes, speeds and the quality with high speed also was incredible. Although the printer runs up to eight colours plus two whites, the three layer prints will change the landscape for day-night indoor/outdoor signage and various tactile applications where visuals meet touch and feel effects, in the coming years.”

The new VUTEk LX3 Pro features energy-efficient, “cool cure” LED curing technology that requires much lesser heat than other UV or latex inkjet printers. The 3.2-meter-wide inkjet production device also offers an extended-gamut ink set capable of delivering imaging quality comparable to eight-color, premium POP graphics using only four colours. The production-class LED inkjet graphics print engine has fast throughput of up to 318 m² / hr. The printer also offers high-resolution grayscale imaging and its “cool cure” LED technology is a greener solution that reduces energy usage and costs while giving users the ability to print on a very wide range of media, including media that cannot withstand the heat of other curing or drying methods of other printers.

The directors added that quality, speed and flexibility are necessary to be successful in the competitive local market; the new installation delivers on all three counts. The printer achieves its high quality through true 1000 dpi resolution with 12 Pico Liter, grayscale Printheads. “VUTEk LX3 Pro is a terrific addition that complements our other digital presses, enhancing our overall capabilities, and with the excellent support of Team Arrow, we are already looking at adding more printers in the coming months”.
