In the continuing efforts to contribute to the well-being of vulnerable groups exposed to the health and economic hazards caused by the Covid-19 virus spread, Srishti Group arm Sharma Srishti Synergy sponsored the distribution of food items, mask kits, and soaps to porters working at the KSR Bangalore City Station. Srishti took the corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative in association with the Women’s Welfare Organisation of South Western Railway’s Bengaluru Division. It may be noted that Sharma Srishti Synergy has executed and is operating the Railway Display Network (RDN) at 32 railway stations in the Bengaluru Division of South Western Railway.

Speaking on the CSR initiative, S Kumar, MD of Srishti Group, told Media4Growth that the managing the RDN project is not just a function of running the passenger information systems at the railway stations, but also of being deeply involved in the overall development of the railway station environment and the well-being of the people, especially the relatively low earning workers engaged at the stations. “The distribution of essential goods and protective gear to the porters at the city railway station was just a small step in this regard,” he said, while appreciating the Women’s Welfare Organisation for taking up the cause.
