Prakash Arts has adhered to the best structural and design standards in building this integrated public utility
H V Surendra Nath, Chief Operating Officer of Prakash Arts said that the firm successfully navigated through the labyrinths of bureaucracy and political dispensations to compete the state-of-the-art FOB that scores high on structural and design standards. The FOB is built to withstand up to wind speed of 200 kmph. Notably, the entire project has been handled and executed by Prakash Arts’ inhouse team that worked closely with structural engineers. The FOB has elevators at two ends of the utility that is a boon to people who have difficulty in use the stairs to cross over from one end of street to the other.
Srinath, Regional Head – Karnataka, Prakash Arts, added that the firm has ensured that the best standards are met in developing the utility. 200 tonnes of metal went into the FOB construction. This is the first integrated FOB in south India, he said.
Prabhakara B, Executive Engineer, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP), said the civic body sees the PPP route as the best option to come up with public utilities like FOB in the city. He expressed deep satisfaction in the manner that Prakash Arts planned, designed and executed the FOB in Jayanagar. He also said that BBMP has plans for a large number of FOBs across the city.
