Key leadership movement spotted

Rajiv Suri, MD & CEO of Shoppers Stop, Arun Srinivas, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Ola and Sumit Walia, Vice-President Oppo India, have put down the papers


 Some of the top management people of three companies have resigned from their posts over the weekend.

Shoppers Stop has announced the resignation of its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Rajiv Suri, effective 25 August, nearly two years after he was appointed. Rajiv has decided to quit the company giving some personals. He had joined in January 2018 as CEO and was elevated as MD and CEO in June 2018.

Arun Srinivas, Ola’s Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, has quit the company. He left his job exactly after a year he joined. As per the company statement, he is moving on to pursue other career opportunities outside Ola.

Oppo India’s Sumit Walia has stepped down as Vice-President of Product and Marketing. He has joined the company in April 2019 where he was primarily responsible to gather local insights in terms of consumer behaviour, products, marketing, content, vernacular, etc. In its statement, the company said that Sumit Walia has decided to take the next step in his professional career and part ways with Oppo.
