Next statement regarding the policy expected to be released after July 10th

Following the recent announcement by the Goa government to regulate regional OOH industry with a unified OOH policy across the state, Media4Growth reached out to Vijai Sardesi, the Deputy Chief Minister of Goa for further update on the same and he said in an exclusive conversation, “Tourism is the backbone of this city and hoardings are just an eye sore around the heritage sites.”

It may be recalled that the Heritage Committee recently concluded that along with signage, hoardings were also an ‘eyesore’ to the city and Sardesi reiterated that by bringing uniformity in the hoardings’ size, the state’s heritage aesthetics will not be compromised.

He also informed that the task of deciding on the uniform size had already been given to the Chief Architect and further planning with respect to the execution of the policy had already begun. However, a next statement regarding this will be released only after a meeting on July 10th.
