Amiya Chandra calls for deeper engagement of OOH in development initiatives

Amiya Chandra spoke about the research on global practices that the authors undertook to assess the OOH practices in India, and to suggest the way forward for the growth of Indian OOH industry


Amiya Chandra, Development Commissioner, Adani Ports & SEZ, Mundra, stressed on the need for a separate industry research body, in a session at OAC 2018 while in conversation with Rajiv Raghunath, Managing Editor, Media4Growth and Outdoor Asia on his book entitled ‘‘OOH – Catalyst to Smart Urbanspace’.

Amiya spoke about the research on global practices that the authors undertook to assess the OOH practices in India, and to suggest the way forward for the growth of Indian OOH industry. He underlined the need for the industry to be conscious of its contribution to developmental initiatives. “There are options for eco-billboards which will be useful for the brand as well as act as air-purifying, eco-friendly initiatives”, he asserted.

Amiya spoke in particular on the emerging opportunities for OOH in the smart city projects.
