Siddharth Anand Jha, Senior General Manager – Marcom, Havells India has joined the Jury for the OOH Advertising Awards (OAA) contest -- formerly known as Outdoor Advertising Awards --- that is now open for entries. 

Siddharth brings with him over 22 years of marketing expertise, specialising in media management. With notable roles at Havells India, Samsung Group, Dentsu Aegis Network, and Tata Group, he has contributed significantly to brand building and strategic communication. His tenure at Havells, spanning over six years, underscored his adeptness in Marcom, solidifying his reputation as a seasoned professional in shaping brand identities and communication strategies across diverse industry landscapes.

Sharing his view on creativity in OOH advertising, Siddharth told Media4Growth that “Creativity, Innovation & Clutter-breaking initiatives always and will always continue to capture the attention of the specific TA and public at large in any medium and more so in OOH as the same is open and accessible. Each outstanding work is talked about at length, captures the public’s attention and imagination and paves way for more interesting works. A few of our own (Havells) initiatives in the recent past have created buzz which can easily be matched with the banter we’ve been able to garner on other medium incl. TV & Digital”

Highlighting the distinct changes observed in the OOH landscape in recent years, SIddharth said, "OOH is an integral part of the Media Strategy for most brands. It’s important to connect with a specific target audience through the suitable media option. Also, given the cost and the value as well as the scope to draw attention through innovative concepts and display, OOH comes out as the most dominant, impactful & preferred medium.”

On how the OOH Advertising awards recognise amazing work in the OOH industry, Siddharth remarked that "Like every medium that seeks to showcase creativity, branding and advertising in an organised manner and to put due credence to the industry, OOH has found its anchor in the OAA an ideal platform for learning and sharing. OAA has provided credit to the Out-of-Home domain and helped it get its due as an organised industry.”

Showing his excitement to witness the upcoming OOH Advertising Awards as a jury member, Siddharth commented, “I look forward to witnessing Innovation, creativity, impact of OOH and connecting with the audience.”

Entries to OAA 2024 contest are to be submitted not later than May 15, 2024. The parameters for judging each award category is specifically defined in the entry submission section of the awards website.

The entries will be adjudicated by separate Juries comprising eminent brand marketers and creative heads who have deep knowledge of OOH advertising. The judging will be conducted in two stages – the first, online, and the second, through in-person Jury meets in different cities.

The OAA 2024 metals will be given away at a special awards function that will be organised on July 27, 2024 at Hilton Garden Inn, Embassy Manyata Business Park, Bengaluru, which is also the venue for the OOH Advertising Convention (OAC) 2024.
