SDMC plans to roll back property tax on media
The matter was taken up by IOAA North Indian Chapter
 South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) which had recently introduced a property tax on outdoor media assets located in its jurisdiction is now planning to roll back the tax after the industry made its representation on the matter to the civic body.

This was confirmed to Media4Growth by Prem Shankar Jha, Deputy Commissioner, SDMC. The industry in its representation cited that the concerned media owners are already paying tax on media and that the property tax was tantamount to double tax. The industry representation was spearheaded by the IOAA North Chapter.
