Ahmedabad media owners’ body reinforces S-O-P to remove curbs on timely payments
The association has forwarded the modified S-O-P to all national specialist agencies and their various decision makers such as CEOs, CFOs, CCOs, Branch Heads, among others, but has not received any response from the agencies as yet
Outdoor Advertising Owners Association, Ahmedabad has modified the existing S-O-P drafted by IOAA to further safeguard the media owners against delayed payments from outdoor specialist agencies. The new provision states that the specialist agencies should make the payments to concerned media owners irrespective of when the agencies receive the payments from the advertising clients. As an alternative, the association suggested that POs issued by the agencies should bear the signature of the advertising client. The association has forwarded the modified SOP to all national specialist agencies and their various decision makers such as CEOs, CFOs, CCOs, Branch Heads, among others, but has not received any response from the agencies as yet.
On this development, Asit Shah of Het Graphics who is also the President of the Outdoor Advertising Owners Association, Ahmedabad said: “The provision has been added to protect our payments which usually get stuck for various undefined reasons. This provision will give us the opportunity to connect with the client directly in such scenarios to check the status of payment.”
To follow up on this matter, few association members will be conducting meetings with the agency heads.
