Yantra Media gets brands to connect with 2.2 billion bus passengers
Yantra Media Solutions has installed wi-fi services on the buses that enable passengers to access and enjoy entertainment programmes on their respective phones. The programmes are interspersed with advertising.
With an aim to provide on-the-go entertainment to bus passengers, Yantra Media Solutions which holds the advertisement media rights on Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) buses has installed wi-fi services on the buses that enables passengers to access and enjoy entertainment programmes on their respective phones, channeled to them by the OOH firm. The programmes are interspersed with advertising.
Yantra Media Solutions has tied up with Viacom network for the content on a revenue sharing basis. Various corporate brands have taken up the advertisement slots such as Idea, MRF Tyres, Reliance Jio.
There are some 18,900 buses included in this project of which 10,000 buses have been equipped with this service and the rest of them are expected to get covered by the end of this year. These buses connect to almost 2.2 billion passengers every year traveling to seven different regions of Maharashtra.
