Arun Sign Service to put up hoardings on BSNL's Alipore factory premises

Kolkata-based Arun Sign Service will soon begin work for putting up hoardings in designated areas on the premises of BSNL's Telecom Factory in Alipore, having won a bid for the same in May this year. The OOH firm had bagged the tender floated by BSNL for developing the new hoardings. It will enjoy ad rights on the hoardings (adding up to 2,400 sq. ft) for a period of 10 years. 

Ashif Kumar Biswas, Director - Arun Sign Service, said, "We are about to begin the process of creating premium OOH properties within the compound of the BSNL factory. The area has become a no-hoarding zone, so getting this right for developing outdoor media space inside the factory premise is a milestone. The location is like an entrance to Alipore and the sites will enjoy high visibility from the roads.”

The OOH firm plans to convert some of the hoardings into unipoles as well. The dimensions of the billboards would be not less than 40ftx15ft and 40ftx20ft.

"Being one of the top locations of the city we are already getting good clients, primarily from telecom and FMCG industries for these properties. The present rates of these sites are around Rs 2.5-3.0 lakh which would be renewed from time to time as this is a contract for ten years,” said Ashif.

Arun Sign Service is required to submit a security deposit of about Rs 10.91 lakh within seven days from the date of issue of Letter of Intent and roughly an annual payment of Rs 40 lakh to BSNL.
