DMRC Heritage Corridor has plenty in the offing for OOH
The Phase III line is expected to push the Delhi Metro’s ridership to over 4 million this year – a key driver for advertising on the Metro network
DMRC has inaugurated its most awaited Line 6 i.e. Heritage Corridor of Phase III project for commuters. This corridor offers significant advertising prospects for brands of all hues. The Heritage corridor includes the Delhi Gate, Jama Masjid and Lal Quila stations connecting the ridership to landmark destinations of Delhi with Kashmiri Gate at one end.
The Phase III line is expected to push the Delhi Metro’s ridership to over 4 million this year – a key driver for advertising on the Metro network. This corridor also connects ITO in central Delhi to Kashmere Gate in the north where brands will can target audiences from A, B & B+ categories.
The Heritage Corridor will see movement of tourists as well as the line connects with key historical places. That might be a reason for MNC brands to mark their presence on this line.
Apart from these three stations, Kashmiri Gate station has become the first-ever interchange facility of the Delhi Metro system to provide inter-connectivity between three corridors of the network (Violet Line with Red and Yellow Lines). The lone station vouches for meritorious display opportunities.
The Heritage Corridor is yet to be open for advertising bids whereas the media rights on Kashmiri Gate station is held by TDI International. However as per the sources, the authority is planning for a different kind of advertisings on this line rather than just static displays. The station might get branding options like digital displays and semi naming rights. The tender will be floated by DMRC in the coming months.
