‘Tech infusion, digital formats will drive OOH spends’

Surendra Shenoy, Principal General Manager, Karnataka Circle, BSNL addressed the Karnataka Talks OOH conference on the theme of ‘Dialling into consumer mindspace through OOH’

Speaking on the theme of ‘Dialling into consumer mindspace through OOH’ at the Karnataka Talks OOH conference held in Bengaluru on February 9, Surendra Shenoy, Principal General Manager, Karnataka Circle, BSNL, stated that the telecom major has time to time taken the OOH route to reinforce its strong branding in the wake of increasing competition in the industry. In Bengaluru and Rest of Karnataka, BSNL has used a variety of OOH formats with particular focus on railway media.

He stated that BSNL outdoor campaigns have generated significant consumer response. At the same time, he expressed concern over the regulatory challenges that confront the OOH industry. Citing the potential of digital OOH media, he said that such developments will encourage more brand spends.

Timely technology infusion will revitalise OOH, he said.
