‘Look after your bread and butter, but don’t let your dreams die’

The Outdoor Advertising Convention 2023 is perhaps India’s premier knowledge sharing hub for business leadership and this was personified best by none other than Sudhanshu Mani, Creator, Train18 (Vande Bharat) who enthralled and inspired the audience with his talk ‘Disruptive thinking: the secret sauce of business transformation’. 

In a talk peppered with a generous dose of Shakespearean quotes and 'Shayaries', Mr. Mani had a delighted audience listening to him in rapt attention. Warped in his entertaining poetry, were vital lessons on business transformation - that it takes passion to achieve big dreams. He emphasized that for any business to be successful, one must love what they do and that ‘love’ needs to be manufactured and constructed for not only the craft or trade, but also the organisation and the people working within it. Moreover, it is vital to create an environment conducive for ideas to flow; one must provide a platform, encourage and listen to those down the hierarchy in the firm because everybody has ideas, all you need to do is respect. 

Sharing what it took to build a prestigious project such as the Train18 (now known as Vande Bharat) for the Indian Railways, Mr. Mani delivered a powerful message to everyone present that evening: “Look after your bread and butter, but don’t let your dreams die!” he said to the audience.
