The management of Amanora Mall in Pune has refurbished the media assets at the mall in the effort to attract more advertisers. In a telephonic interview, Surjit Singh Rajpurohit, COO of Amanora Mall told Media4Growth: “There were a few small sites that had lost visibility and recognition, resulting in loss of revenues for us. So, we decided to overhaul the media assets.”

The mall management got fabrication company Brandspan to redo the mall facade where 4 different backlit boxes of 11/11 ft size were replaced by a giant backlit 30/30 ft single site to lure more advertisers.

“We want this new façade to come across as a fresh advertising avenue to the brands,” added Surjit. The modified facade has been made with aluminum composite panel frames with new mounting support. To make the mounting process easy and to hide the iron rods, ladders are fitted on the inside of the media.

Going forward, the mall management plans to transform the existing sites into even more attractive media options with better visibility by converting backlit sites into front-lit sites, LEDs, etc. Currently, the mall media revenue adds up to around 6% of the total revenue, which is also expected to increase in the wake of the media uplift.

The mall media, comprises both static and digital displays, and are attracting various conventional and new-age brands such as automobile brands, OTT channels, etc.
