Media owners appreciate the authority’s drive to bring down unauthorised media

In clamping down unauthorised media in the city of Noida, the Noida Authority plans to issue unique codes for display on all outdoor media assets. The unique code will help the authority and others to set the authorised media apart from the unauthorised displays. Any site that does not have the unique code may be flagged to the authority for action to be taken.

This step is in continuation of the authority’s continued efforts to remove unauthorised media in the city.

Media owners operating tendered media in Noida see the authority’s move as a positive support to safeguard their business interest.  They are highly appreciative of the media regulatory steps taken by the CEO of Noida Authority, Ritu Maheshwari.

In financial year 2018-19, the authority earned Rs 14 crore by selling advertisement rights on the city roads. In financial year 2019-20, it has so far collected Rs 18 crore from advertisement rights. The corporation is expected to mop up another Rs 4 crore from advertising by the end of this financial year.
