East Central Railway approves Force Majeure clause on NFR

The authority is also giving the extension in the contract period which were not in operation

East Central Railway has announced the approval of Force Majeure on the entire commercial earnings including the Non-Fare Revenue contracts. The Ministry of Finance has clarified that the lockdown period to COVID19 should be considered as a case of natural calamity.

The ministry has also notified for the extension of the contract period to the extent of the period for which the earnings were not in operation as and when such request is received from the licensees, with the approval of concerned DRMs.
