2nd lot: Blue Dreamz highest bidder for 2 more hoarding clusters in Kolkata, Sampark & View Finder top bidder for 1 cluster each

The Kolkata Municipal Corporation is expected to generate revenues of Rs 29.60 crore from the 8 clusters of roadside hoardings


Blue Dreamz Advertising yet again emerged as the highest bidder for fifth and sixth clusters of hoarding in Kolkata after the Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) opened the results of the second phase (containing four more clusters) of its tender on May 21. Sampark Advertising & Media is the highest bidder for the seventh cluster and Viewfinder (sister concern of Karukrit Advertising) is the highest bidder for the eighth cluster. Each of these cluster also contains 50 hoardings from different zones of the city and KMC is expected to raise Rs 3.70 crore from each cluster per year for three years as per the tenure of the tender which is subject to renewal.

While stating the importance of this tender, Debasish Kumar - Member, Mayor-in-Council - Advertisement, Parks Gardens and Sports - The Kolkata Municipal Corporation, said, "It is a great achievement on the part of KMC in terms of revenues because we received Rs 14.64 crore from all these eight clusters in 2013-14 and now in 2014-15 this amount will go up to Rs 29.60 crore.”

Sunil Roy, Director, Sampark Advertising & Media Private, said: "We have topped the bid for the seventh cluster of street hoardings comprising sites from various parts of the city like Golpark, Park Street, Theatre Road and such. We hope that the work will commence from the first week of June.”

In the coming two days the result of road side pole kiosks will be declared by KMC.
