Tenders
Indore media owners want long tenure contracts for better RoI
Fears expressed that investments in new, high quality media may not yield the right returns in the short to medium term
Indore outdoor market, which is in the re-setting mode after the launch of the new outdoor policy, seems to be facing some disappointments from the civic body side on the tender duration clause. Indore Municipal Corporation has begun to roll out new tenders to allow advertising rights on the large formats, but the allotment duration is not more than 5 years. Local media owners assert that the duration should have been more long-term as it would be difficult for them to recoup the investments made in new, high quality formats in the short to medium term.
The media owners plan to raise this concern in the pre-bid meeting with the civic body which is scheduled on February 15.
Also, the media owners believe the potential returns will be best assessed during the festive season, depending on the demand for the media.
