South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has achieved a new high in ad tax revenue earnings. The civic body has recorded Rs 135 crore ad tax revenue earnings in the current financial year, which is significantly higher than Rs 118 crore earned in the previous fiscal, stated Prem Shankar Jha, Deputy Commissioner of SDMC told Media4Growth. Last year, the corporation had achieved a quantum jump in revenues, over the Rs 40 crore ad tax revenues earned in 2015-16.
“The successful tenders and evasion of illegal media has helped the corporation to get big bucks,” said Jha.
