BMC takes action to bring Digital billboard in the city
The static billboards will be replaced with LED screens in phases wherein the highways haven’t been included in the plan to avoid casualty
After taking Mumbai Hoardings Owners Association’s suggestion into consideration, Bombay Municipal Corporation (BMC) plans to revise its outdoor advertising policy to replace static hoardings with Digital billboards in the city, as reported by Hindustan Times newspaper. However, the LED screens will not be implemented near the highway to avoid any casualty. The revised policy will be implemented after the approval of Civic Chief Ajoy Mehta.
The digital billboards will be implemented in phases to gauge the overall response. However Juhu & Bandra locations have been selected to conduct trials for the same where the static ads will run in the beginning.
