Fans leapt back 37 years to 1985 and enjoyed rolled back gas priced at $0.91 per gallon

San Diego headquartered GDX Studios executed a unique experiential activity to promote the premiere of NBC series ‘Quantum Leap’. On September 15, the agency put the clock back to 1985 by offering fans of the show fuel priced at $0.91 per gallon at a parking lot in Los Angeles.

The ‘Quantum Leap Day’ transported consumers back to 1985, the backdrop for the pilot episode of the series premiere, with a drive-through experience followed by the opportunity to get gas for 0.91 cents a gallon, the average price of gasoline in 1985, while supplies last. The same day, “Quantum Leap” teamed up with Fandango offering moviegoers the chance to purchase a movie ticket online for the 1985-style price of $3.55.

Over 1500 cars went through the experience and 13,910 gallons of gasoline was distributed
