Raamdeo Agrawal & Jagdeep Kapoor decode value creation for OOH businesses

Indeed, the Fireside chat anchored by Jagdeep Kapoor, Founder, Chairman and MD of Samsika Marketing Consultancy, with Raamdeo Agrawal, Chairman and Co-Founder of Motilal Oswal, on the theme ‘Long-term value creation for brand and business’ on Day 1 of the OOH Advertising Convention 2025 threw light on how brands and businesses can create and deliver long term value.

Sharing his own journey, Raamdeo Agrawal talked about moving from the ‘push’ to the ‘pull’ effect, through the right brand positioning and communication. Further, addressing the relationship between brand building and wealth creation, he talked about the examples of brands like Parle G and Tanishq to highlight how long-term brand value is created.

Jagdeep Kapoor next dived right into the question that struck a chord with all those who were assembled at OAC: ‘Is brand spend on OOH an investment or expenditure?’ Addressing the question, Raamdeo Agrawal, drew the audience attention to perceived value, and how successful brands are those who create long-term value.

The conversation then focused on the use of media like OOH to create brand value. In this context Raamdeo highlighted two key aspects: Delivering value and scale. “You have to create your own brand,” he said, addressing all the OOH media owners, while highlighting how OOH businesses, by delivering value for brands, can become brands by themselves.

Summing up the key factors that drive value for any business, Raamdeo highlighted, ‘QGLP’- which decodes into Quality, Growth, Longevity and Passion. The session ended on an informative note with both Raamdeo Agrawal and Jagdeep Kapoor reiterating one message: Build your brand!
