KMC announces tender for construction of New Bus Shelters

Kolkata Municipal Corporation has rolled out a new tender for the construction of new bus shelters under their jurisdiction and looking for the participation from the Outdoor Media Owners regarding the same. The deadline for the tender is July 12th and the results for the same will be declared on July 13, 2016.
 
These new 187 stainless steel passenger bus shelters will be having a new design which has been finalised by the Kolkata Municipal Corporation. The tender will be given for a period of 10 years and the vendors selected will be liable to construct and maintain the same under the terms and conditions of the municipal body. These bus shelters has three parts, one top part and two panels of which one part is reserved for the messages of KMC which changes from time to time as per requirement of the corporation authorities.
 
Debasish Kumar, MMIC- Advertisement, KMC shares with Outdoor Asia, ” We are looking for eligible vendors who can create these new structures having a good looking design which will add a better infrastructure to the citizen’s requirements and it is a very important part of any city’s basic amenities. Our message to the interested media owners is that they should maintain these bus queue shelters properly and it is for quite a long duration, so it should be the first priority.”
