Delhi Outdoor body salutes soldiers with bravery awards
The initiative awarded 11 brave soldiers and the outdoor medium was utilized to create buzz about the occasion .
The Delhi Outdoor Advertisers Association (DOAA) and the All India Terrorist Front have honoured some brave soldiers with the’Veer Bravery Awards’ in New Delhi. Big size outdoor formats such as public utility facilities and hoardings at strategic locations of Delhi promoted the initiative. The soldiers who were given the award posthumously were Hawaldar Abdul Hameed (Param Veer Chakra), Lance Naik Hemraj, Sudhakar, soldier Vijay Kumar, Premnath Singh, Raghunandan Prasad, Shambhu Saran Ray, BSF constable Virendra Prasad and Surender Singh, Constable Guru Dayal and Praveen Kumar.
The initiative was supported by M.S. Bitta, Chairman, AIATF, and the occasion was aptly named “Zara Yaad Karo Kurbaani. Major General (Retd.) Yashwant Deva and Major General (Retd.) G. D. Bakshi also graced the evening and Bollywood actor, John Abraham gave the awards to the families of the brave soldiers.
