‘OOH success in large airports is paving way for OOH growth in smaller airports’
RK Singh, Executive Director – Commercial, Airport Authority of India (AAI), in his opening remarks said that AAI is evolving towards simpler policy and friendlier approach to deliver maximum benefits to investing media companies. AAI is also shifting focus towards airports of smaller towns that have enormous unlocked potential
After the overwhelming result in OOH at airports in cities like Kolkata, Lucknow, Jaipur and Kochi lately, RK Singh pointed out on how AAI is peering towards offering flexible norms for a sustainable growth in airport OOH. AAI, encouraging media owners with consequent enhancement opportunities and eliminating maximum possible limitations, have already helped brands to create uniqueness of design in OOH units present in certain airports.
Taking cue from the already-acheived success and then focusing to leverage on similar opportunities in tier-II and tier-III cities, Singh welcomed the stakeholders to work with AAI more as partners to tap the traffic, which is currently growing at a rate of approx. 20% to 25% on a yearly basis.
