Vipul Mishra , Head - Strategic Alliance & Brand Partnership, Paytm, is on-board OAA 2022 Jury

Vipul comes with close to two decades of core consumer marketing experience and has worked across 5 different industries, namely FMCG, Telecom, Automobile, Fashion Retail and now Fintech industry.

Outdoor Advertising Awards (OAA) 2022 has an interesting and diverse jury mix, representing industries who are fast exploring the possibilities with OOH as a marketing medium. The jurors come backed by rich experience in marketing/ media planning. Vipul Mishra, Head Of Strategic Alliances and Business Marketing, Paytm, comes with close to two decades of core consumer marketing experience. He has worked across 5 different industries, namely FMCG, Telecom, Automobile, Fashion Retail and now
Fintech industry. He started his career with Unilever where he worked on brands like Knorr and Kissan. He then moved to 3M on sctochbrite brand to work on managing and launching home cleaning tools at pan India level. He was also associated with Wrigley India as Sr. Brand Manager for Boomer brand.  Vipul has worked on various formats of products and different consumer categories - from kids to moms - and has also re-launched brands during the course of his career.

He moved to telecom with Idea Cellular where he was heading the brand at circle level. He was instrumental in making Idea a strong no.2 brand in AP. He carried out innovations and did many brand building measures to take the brand to greater heights.

Vipul was associated with Tata Motors for over 6 years where he launched many iconic brands like Nano, Zest, Bolt and Tiago. The brands won various awards in different marketing forums. He developed many IPs that went on to become successful. The campaign with TOI for Zest brand launch, where an actual car key was pasted on TOI for consumers to drive footfall for test drives at dealerships, won acclaim and became a talking point, not only within the organisation, but also across competition and other brands in different industries.

Vipul also comes with experience in the fashion retail industry, having worked with Max Fashion Retail and Reliance Trends where he was heading marketing for emerging markets. He launched over 650 stores of Trends in tier 3 and 4 cities in a span of 3 years and also developed a new concept called “Trends on Wheels” which became a fashion retail industry benchmark during Covid when stores were closed.

At Paytm, he is involved in strategic brand alliances in FMCG sector and also handles additional responsibility as Head of Growth Marketing for the western region of Paytm. He is involved in increasing new consumer base, app traffic and more engagement with users. He also carries out activities for enhancing consumer experience with the brand. 

Vipul has been awarded for his creative work across the organisations he has worked with. He has been a recipient of the Chairman’s award twice at Tata Motors, the Star Award at Idea and has also won award for the Best Product Launch at Unilever for Kissan Brand. 

OAA 2022, which opened more than two months ago, is now all set to enter the judging rounds, which includes both online and offline. Winners of OAA 2022 will receive the coveted Metals at the OutdooAdvertising Awards function at  Westin Mumbai Powai Lake hotel on August 18, 2022 evening, just after the conclusion of  Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC) 2022 . The Awards will be given away by highly accomplished Brand Marketers, and International OOH leaders.
