National specialist agency heads to address Karnataka Talks OOH

The upcoming Karnataka Talks OOH Conference that will be held at Royal Orchid hotel, HAL Airport Road, Bengaluru on February 9 will feature a panel discussion on the theme of
‘What will it take for brands to plan big for Karnataka OOH’. The key discussants are Abhijit Sengupta, CEO, OAP; Atul Shrivastava, Group CEO, Laqshya Media Group; Fabian Trevor Cowan, President, Posterscope India; and Jayesh Yagnik, COO, MOMS Outdoor Media Services.

Abhijit Sengupta’s early media years were spent in the hothouse sales rooms of Selvel Vantage Group, where he successfully learnt the outdoor trade with one of India’s leading outdoor media contractors. A high performer whose creative urges were still somewhat unfulfilled, Abhijit was headed to the agency side with O&M.  He was a crucial component in forming the early outdoor approach of Primesite and MOMS, but felt the art and science of media planning was at the time still missing from the world of OOH Advertising.
 
In 2002 his desire to make outdoor media more accountable by integrating science, research and technology led him and a few like-minded professionals to create a company in OAP with a unified mission.  His forte has been in creating original outdoor specialist systems and processes for various mega spending clients, cultivating extensive knowledge on outdoor media planning and working on developing various tools. Today, OAP still runs on Abhijit’s founding principles of providing a client-centric service with an unparalleled professionalism and a drive to improve industry standards.

As the Group CEO, Atul Shrivastava spearheads the group’s business growth where he had a long and highly successful tenure. Atul started his professional career with Aditya Birla Nuvo Ltd. (Formerly Indian Rayon & Industries Ltd.) in Kolkata as a Management Trainee. He later joined Shaw Wallace & Co. Ltd. In Kolkata and later shifted to Delhi, where he took up Sales job in the Breweries division. His next assignment was Group Product Manager with Som Distilleries and Breweries Ltd., Mumbai and later at the Co.’s H.O. At Bhopal. Atul had his first brush with advertising industry during his association with Som Distilleries, which worked with different agencies.

Fabian Cowan, is President, Posterscope India, the OOH specialist agency of the Dentsu Aegis Network. With offices across 34 countries Dentsu Aegis Network is the 3rd largest media conglomerate in the world and is currently ranked number 2 in India. Over the 20 plus years of his media experience Fabian has been associated with the Print media, Radio, Television, and out of home media and has worked on brands like Samsung, Mondelez, Star TV network, Microsoft, Apple, General Motors, Nissan, Toyota, Tourism Australia, Honda, Puma, Philips, Panasonic, Levi Strauss, Hitachi, Micromax, Parle Agro, Hindustan Unilever, and more.
Fabian is naturally inclined to think beyond just the billboard. He has creative bent and has been pivotal in coming up with ideas that been industry firsts in many ways and have won Posterscope many awards ranging from traditional OOH as well as digital and socially extended out of home solutions.

Jayesh Yagnik, COO, MOMS Outdoor Media Services, with over 18 years of domain experience, started his career with MOMS as an Asst. Manager and eventually grew into the role of heading the organisation nationally. He has been with MOMS for 15 years now. He has worked with clients across categories including Asian Paints, Raymonds, OPPO, BJP, McDonalds’, Kotak Bank, India Bulls, Bandhan Bank, Godrej, Marico, Pidilite, Toyota, and many others. Jayesh’ s great interpersonal skills and inbuilt leadership quality has made him reached to the stage where he is currently. Today when outdoor has become OOH, Jayesh has been involved in transformation of MOMS from an execution agency to strategic partner to the clients on entire OOH solutions in all these years.
