MCDs issues order to root out unauthorised hoardings
After a discussion with Delhi’s LG Anil Baijal, the three corporations have taken a step to remove the clutter ahead of an international summit that will be organised in the capital city
All three municipal corporations of Delhi have jointly issued an order to check defacement of streets and remove unauthorized advertisements within 15 days located in the entire capital city. The order has been released as per the LG Anil Baijal’s direction in the wake of an upcoming international summit to be held in Delhi. The officials’ agenda behind this is to present a clean and appealing city in front of the international delegates flying down from several countries to attend the summit. This was reliably learnt by Media4Growth.
The corporations have given 15 days time to remove illegal and improperly placed structures; along with a warning stating that the offenders will face stern action under the Municipal act, the IPC and the Delhi Prevention of Defacement of Property Act, 2007 entailing criminal action.
