Madhu S Dutta, Head of Marketing at Raymond, joins OAA 2022 Jury

Madhu, who is also GM - Brand, Media & Digital Social, at Raymond, has over 20 years of experience in branding, marketing, media, digital and communication, specialising in the Fashion & Lifestyle category.

Madhu S Dutta , Head - Marketing, and GM - Brand, Media & Digital Social, Raymond, has joined the eminent Jury for the Outdoor Advertising Awards (OAA) 2022 contest. Winners of OAA 2022 will receive the coveted metals at the Outdoor Advertising Awards function at Westin Mumbai Powai Lake hotel on August 18, 2022 evening, just after the conclusion of Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC) 2022.

Madhu has over 20 years of experience in branding, marketing, media, digital and communication, specialising in the Fashion & Lifestyle category. Prior to her current assignment, she was the Chief of  Marketing for Pantaloons Fashion & Retail at Aditya Birla Group, and was instrumental in the complete make-over of Pantaloons, bringing in lifestyle & fashion relevance to the brand in the given consumer segment. 

Earlier, as Head of Marketing Development in World Gold Council, she managed the overall marketing initiatives in India. During her tenure, she launched the most coveted brands in the jewellery category, including Collection G – making gold a contemporary daily wear fashion. Further, she tapped into the Indian wedding market through Azwa – a first of a concept wedding jewellery in the country. She also introduced Italian made jewellery in India Gold Expressions, another first in the segment. She worked closely with reputed designers at Vicenza - a known hub for Italian craftsmanship.  

Madhu’s marketing career started with Tanishq, with many innovative marketing initiatives. One of her initiatives even took Tanishq for the first time to the ramp of Milan Fashion Week. She also steered the launch of ‘Sabyasachi Collection’ through Aarka, entering the orbit of Lifestyle fashion 

In Ogilvy & Mathur, she was part of the core strategist team for Vodafone India and was involved in many interesting campaigns for the brand. She started her career in Lowe Lintas where she was handling the ITC business for tobacco for India Kings and Classic. Later she moved in as part of the core team to launch Wills Lifestyle – the largest non-tobacco initiative from the ITC Limited portfolio.
