The bids are for ad rights on some 100 unipoles and a few FOBs and subways
“Till 30th November last year, we raised a mere Rs 9 crore from ad revenues whereas the already-received revenue till date this year is Rs 27 crore. We are expecting minimum revenues of Rs 60-70 crore by the end of current fiscal,” said a source from advertising department of NDMC.
The augmentation of ad revenues followed the implementation of cluster policy and removal of illegal sites. The current tender will give away advertising rights for a duration of 6 months, which is further extendable until a year. The auctioning will happen on December 14.
